This band is awesome. I'm quite shocked at the quality, badassery, and similarity to Helloween, considering Kiske's penchant for being into pussy un-metal music and stating his dislike for it. I'm assuming that Kai Hansen is to blame for most of Unisonic's asskickery, probably convincing Kiske behind closed doors that the only way to reach his former glory is to go back to his un-pussified roots. I'm sure Kiske was reluctant, but he seems the type that could be swayed by prospects of returned fortune and fame. I'm still in shock that Kiske is backing a kick-ass hard rock band again. I hope this band continues rocking and releasing stellar albums. I sure have missed Kiske's voice backing quality music.

It's Kiske band, not Hansen's band so of course he is working with it as a side project as he has not left Gamma Ray. Obvious is obvious.

@rick-roll Kiske only composed one song for the album 'No One Ever Sees Me'. Hansen is responsible for almost half album and joined Unisonic 'cause it is not a side project. Your arguments are invalid.

Nice album, sounds a lot like Edguy, also has a bit of glam rock feeling, but it's nothing near Helloween or Gamma Ray, just other music style ;)

It's a good album, but NOT a great one. The last Helloween album blows it out of the water. Kiske may be a better singer than Deris, but that's quite clearly not enough.

Meh, too polished and nu-pop-metal/AOR for my tastes. I've also heard too much of these newish ridiculous vibrato Kiske "interpretations". His voice is still very beautiful though. I wished for Gamma Ray / Helloween. I thought I'd get Place Vendome / PC69. I received Place Vendome / PC69. Some good shit on the guitar and some good random (pre-)choruses, but that's it for this album.

Yep, @Zander12696, but I think it did fit the Unisonic album. In Gamma Ray case, it ruined their last album for me.

I agree on the autotune dislike, would have preferred a rawer vocal mix. If I remember rightly the last Gamma Ray album was really bad for it as well.

The difference is just that he is singing in a more pop crafted way in the album and that the actual album received a proper mixing. Most of the difference is probably due to compressor which the main function is to avoid volume inconsistency.

There is, or at least some similar effect. Compare the demo and album version of Souls Alive and you'll hear it. It's used on all other tracks on the new album as well. :/

Fantastic album for me ! A mix of "AOR/Melodic (Hard) Rock"-songs and straight "Metal"-songs. Really good melodies in nearly all songs.
