Metalcore has become such a retarded term. It's used to describe tons of bands who sound nothing alike. Most of the bands lumped under the metalcore umbrella are some form of thrash/groove metal or melodic death metal.

I like pretty much all of their albums except for wrath, and I had no problems with the new album, in fact I enjoyed it quite a bit. the production was especially good. with sacrament there was a lot of filler, but there were a few standouts and the excellent production made up for it. also, the vocalists voice keeps getting better and better. I mostly listen to New American Godspell and Resolution actually.

@ sipoflife, Lamb of God has done their part with their previous albums, now the time has come to make albums like Resolustion and Wrath, it fits the time that we live in... You can't expect from them to make the same music as they did 15 years ago...

This is one of those bands where "X album > Y album > Z album" discussions are redundant. Can't fault any of their albums. There are plethora of bands who have made one noteworthy album, but where the rest of their discography is mediocre. There are however, very few bands who consistently put out excellent album time and time again. Lamb of God is one of them.
